Warm spaces provides shelter in areas with isolation
UK media said they were in a warm space cafe in the village of Cheadle in Stockport late on Saturday.
It provides a place for people to keep warm amid the cold weather.
Owner of Cafe Unity Sarah Miller said a lot of the people who came to the cafe were “predominantly older”.
“I do have people who will come in and stay for a few hours. They will have their lunch and just find someone to chat to,” she said.
“There is a lot of isolation in areas like this where people struggle.”
She said there was also a homeless man who came to the cafe every day for refuge.
“He comes every day for breakfast and a wash upstairs,” she added.
“He does work but he uses this place to stay level.”
