Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un hold talks of ‘great significance’

The leaders of China and North Korea sat down for a meeting today.

It comes the day after Kim Jong Un was one of Xi Jinping’s guests at a military parade in Beijing – with Vladimir Putin also in attendance.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said talks would “carry great significance”.

The North Korean leader, who has sent an estimated 15,000 soldiers to fight for Russia, travelled by train to China in a rare foreign visit.
