FC Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu came under fire for telling the media that he made a ‘very big mistake’ in trusting his football agent Neymar Sr. and his son who now plays for French Ligue 1 club side Paris Saint-Germain.
Neymar left Barcelona earlier in the summer after an outrageous transfer fee was paid to crown him the world’s most expensive player.

The Brazilian’s exit was felt in all corners of Camp Nou; the club president and coach Ernesto Valverde are facing a mountainous task in steering Barca back to their winning ways.
Amid wide speculations that Neymar’s relationship with Barca management had soured, the 25-year-old footballer agreed to terms with PSG and left Catalonia, causing Josep great pain and regrets.
“The error we made was trusting Neymar and his father,” said the president in an interview which as expected, sparked a response from the Brazilian.
In the media spat which followed Josep’s comment, Esporte Interativo shared an Instagram post which showed Neymar’s reply to the controversial post. The message which was written in Portuguese and beautified with several emojis read, “This president is a joke.”
