Why Kendrick Lamar & SZA won’t perform at 2019 Oscars

Kendrick Lamar and SZA will not perform at the Oscars this weekend, Variety reported and Billboard confirmed. As a result, Black Panther’s “All the Stars” is the only song up for best original song that won’t be performed.

According to Variety, “logistics and timing” interfered with the duo taking the stage.

However, A Star Is Born’s “Shallow,” The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings,” Mary Poppins Returns’ “The Place Where Lost Things Go” and RBG’s “I’ll Fight” will all get a live rendition at the ceremony.

Additionally Queen will perform in honor of best picture nominee Bohemian Rhapsody. The 91st Oscars will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and will air live Sunday (Feb. 24) at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST on ABC.
