Which UK airports could be most vulnerable to disruption this summer?

Business and economics expert Paul Kelso has been looking at how the Iran war could affect your summer holiday plans.

He says there’s new data shedding light on the price of jet fuel, with its supply “profoundly disrupted” by the conflict.

There’s also already evidence of flight cancellations, and which UK airports have been hit the hardest – and could be more vulnerable still this summer.

It comes after the government told Britons there was no need to cancel their holidays.

The Department for Transport said: “There is no current need for passengers to change their travel plans. UK airlines buy jet fuel in advance, and airports maintain stocks to support their resilience. The government is working closely with the aviation industry to monitor risks and minimise disruption to passengers.

“If your flight is cancelled, you have clear legal rights, including the right to a full refund or re-routing. Read this factsheet for the full picture on the current situation and what it means for you.”
