The Israel Defence Forces is continuing its raid of Gaza’s al Shifa hospital, a military spokesman has said. 

The IDF has been conducting, what it calls, a “precise and targeted” operation at the facility for the last two days, claiming it is being used by Hamas for military purposes. 

The militant group has denied this, calling the allegations “blatant lies”. 

It comes as Israel’s commanding officer of the southern command at al Shifa appeared in an IDF video purporting to show him conducting a “situational assessment”. 

In the clip, he said: “We see the presence of Hamas in all the hospitals, it is a definite, clear presence.

“They are cynically using these hospitals, as we can see here in the heart of Shifa.”
