Villarreal are not intending to renew Thomas Partey’s contract for a further season, The Athletic reports.

It will leave the midfielder without a club from the end of this month.

He spent a year with the LaLiga club after leaving Arsenal last summer, making 32 appearances across all competitions. 

Partey is currently at the World Cup with Ghana but was recently denied a visa for Canada due to ongoing legal proceedings in the UK.
