Over the past 12 weeks we have been following the video diaries of 21-year-old Gazan Oday Basheer.
US-based reporter Mark Stone first met Oday in Gaza at the end of the 11-day war in 2021.
Mark and Oday stayed in touch and he has been sending over snapshots and reflections of the situation inside the territory.
Oday, a university graduate, lives in Deir al Balah, which is located half way down the Gaza Strip. He has not evacuated his home.
Stone writes the following…
In this latest post, Oday accused the Israeli military of indiscriminate bombing. It is an allegation denied by the Israelis but one which increasingly being levelled at them.
Last week, Joe Biden said: “They’re starting to lose that support by indiscriminate bombing that takes place.”
Oday also described the shortage of food. At the UN on Friday, the ambassador for the United Arab Emirates warned of famine in Gaza.
“Let’s be clear – unless we take drastic action there will be famine in Gaza,” Lana Nusseibeh told her fellow ambassadors in the chamber of the Security Council.
