US Olympian Aly Raisman slays in racy Sports Illustrated photos

Alexandra Rose “Aly” Raisman, the two-time US Olympian, has proven with her latest Sports Illustrated photo shoots that beauty and confidence are an indispensable part of sport.

The 22-year-old who was a member and captain of the US women Olympic gymnastics – 2012 “Fierce Five” and 2016 “Final Five” – says she couldn’t believe her eyes after watching the pictures from SI.

Talking about one of the pictures which shows her leg hanging on a wall, the American gymnast said:  “I just love it.”

She told PEOPLE at the launch this latest Sports Illustrated issue, “I just feel like I’m a model. My legs look so long.

“I was really proud of it, because I don’t look 5’2” in there.”

The Massachusetts native is truly gorgeous, and may yet compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Raisman, a member of the US gold-medalists during the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, admits she sometimes feel insecure with her body.

However, she has a way of hyping up her confidence.

“I think imperfection is beauty,” she told SI back in 2015.

“Instead of being insecure about my muscles, I’ve learned to love them. I don’t even think of it as a flaw anymore because it’s made me into the athlete that I am.”
