The draw for the Europa League knockout round play-offs also took place on Monday, with the eight runners-up from the Europa League group stage being drawn against the eight third-placed teams from the Champions League group stage. Those ties are as follows…

- Lens vs Freiburg
- Young Boys vs Sporting
- Benfica vs Toulouse
- Sporting Braga vs Qarabag
- Galatasaray vs Sparta Prague
- Shakhtar Donetsk vs Marseille
The first legs are scheduled for February 15, with the second legs a week later on February 22. Brighton, Liverpool, Rangers and West Ham won their respective Europa League groups so have already qualified for the last 16. Those four British teams – along with Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Villarreal and Slavia Prague – will find out their last-16 opponents on February 23.

- Real Betis vs Dinamo Zagreb
- Olympiakos vs Ferencvaros
- Ajax vs Bodo/Glimt
- Molde vs Legia
- Maccabi Haifa vs Gent
The first legs are scheduled for February 15, with the second legs a week later on February 22.
Aston Villa have already qualified for the Europa Conference League last 16 as group winners.
Villa – along with Lille, Maccabi Tel Aviv, FC Viktoria Plzen, Club Brugge, Fiorentina, PAOK Salonika and Fenerbahce – will find out their last-16 opponents on February 23.
