Argos has issued a warning for more than 30 TVs that pose a “fire hazard” risk.
The devices contain faulty wiring that doesn’t comply with the relevant safety standards.
If the electrical system in the models was to fail, there is a “rare possibility” of a fire hazard, according to the warning.
The 17 Toshiba models, manufactured between November 2024 and February 2026, and 15 Bush models, bought between December 2024 and March 2026, are listed here.
The Toshiba issue, related to the power cable and fuse, has been identified as a low risk and the majority of products aren’t affected, Argos said.
A safety notice was issued for the Bush TVs after a similar fuse risk was identified.
You can also enter the serial number on this website to see if your TV is affected and follow the online steps to arrange for a replacement power cable or fuse to be sent free of charge.
