U.S. President Donald Trump returned to the Washington Hilton on Friday to address the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference, marking his first appearance at the venue since an alleged assassination attempt there several months ago.
The event drew significant attention because it was held at the same hotel where the security incident occurred. Authorities implemented heightened security measures around the venue as Trump arrived to deliver his remarks before supporters and conservative leaders.
Reflecting on his return to the hotel, Trump said:
“It’s good to be back.”
He also acknowledged the significance of returning to the venue following the incident, thanking law enforcement officers and security personnel for their continued efforts to protect public officials and attendees.
During his address, Trump praised the work of the Faith and Freedom Coalition and reiterated his commitment to his administration’s priorities, including economic growth, border security and national security.
The President also stated:
“We’re going to keep fighting for the American people.”
His appearance at the conference was met with applause from attendees, many of whom viewed his return to the Washington Hilton as a symbol of resilience following the alleged attack. The event proceeded without incident under an extensive security operation.
