Take That star Mark Owen forced to flee LA home with family

Mark Owen and his family have been forced to flee their home in Los Angeles as the wildfire spreads.

The Take That star’s wife, Emma Ferguson, said on Instagram yesterday that the couple, their children and animals had to evacuate after waking to “helicopters, thick black smoke and winds howling”.

She said she “feels so blessed” her family are safe, as many people have “lost everything”.

Although, she admitted their battle isn’t over yet, as their house is “under threat again”.

“They’re all still raging, so that’s the most exhausting bit, constantly looking online to see if your house is gone,” she added.

Actor Steve Guttenberg says he has ‘seen such tragedy’

Steve Guttenberg says the California wildfires are “absolutely the worst” he’s ever seen.

The actor, best known for his role in the Police Academy film franchise, says he’s been doing what he can to help distressed residents.

“There’s a lot of pain going on right now,” he says.

“I’m doing what I can to help and to alleviate it, whether it’s moving cars, putting out hot spots or getting food to people and helping people out of their homes.”
