Supreme Court to Weigh 4 Major Trump-Related Cases

President Donald Trump criticized the U.S. Supreme Court on Feb. 20 after it struck down his global tariffs, a key part of his economic and foreign policy agenda.

The ruling may not be the last major Supreme Court decision affecting Trump during the court’s current term. Four additional cases involving Trump are expected to be decided by the end of next month.

The cases concern his effort to restrict birthright citizenship, remove a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, dismiss a Federal Trade Commission member, and end protected status for hundreds of thousands of immigrants from Haiti and Syria.

The Supreme Court, whose 6-3 conservative majority includes three justices appointed by Trump during his first term, has sided with the administration in several emergency rulings since Trump returned to office last year. However, based on questions raised during oral arguments, legal analysts say the administration may face setbacks in the birthright citizenship and Federal Reserve cases.

The court is scheduled to issue additional rulings on Thursday.
