The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has instructed all aspirants and candidates contesting elective positions under the party’s platform to stop placing campaign posters on road roundabouts and other restricted public locations.

The directive was issued by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, who said the decision is intended to promote environmental cleanliness, improve the appearance of public spaces, and ensure that campaign activities do not create safety concerns for motorists and pedestrians.

According to the party, campaign posters should only be displayed in approved locations that comply with existing regulations. Aspirants and their campaign teams have been urged to avoid defacing public infrastructure or placing promotional materials in areas that could obstruct visibility or damage public property.

The APC warned that any candidate or campaign organization found violating the directive would face disciplinary measures in line with the party’s rules.

Party officials stressed that maintaining a clean and orderly environment is a shared responsibility and called on all members to conduct their campaigns peacefully and responsibly throughout the election period.

The leadership also appealed to supporters to cooperate with the directive by ensuring that campaign posters are mounted only in designated locations, adding that the measure reflects the party’s commitment to a disciplined and issue-based campaign.
