Position Objective:

  • To fulfill the objectives, plans and programs of the institution in all Admissions and marketing areas through the proper planning, organizing, directing, staffing, training, evaluating, coordinating, motivating, and supervising the Admissions Department staff and personnel.
  • Assists with planning, organizing, and directing Career Services, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Student Services functions utilizing the human and financial resources within the Institution and corporate management to meet objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists with ensuring the fulfillment of business objectives of the institution. This individual must assist with all aspects of the business operations of the institution including assisting with the development of the business plan; responsible for contributing to a compliant organization.
  • Assists with marketing plans for the organization, working closely with senior management on advertising ideas for the organization as a whole. Assist with determining the effectiveness of advertising sources utilized, and report the results to the AVP weekly.
  • Maintain close consultation with the AVP and Program Directors, all of whom directly supervise the faculty and who ensure the fulfillment of educational objectives, planning, organizing, staffing, training, evaluating, coordinating, motivating, and counseling of faculty.
  • Communicate any questions or concerns from faculty or others about students’ progress, needs and requests.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have a minimum of two years Admissions management experience in a vocational college setting
  • Possess motivation and enthusiasm for education
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service; sensitivity to staff, student and faculty needs
  • Proven written skills
  • Must possess supervisory experience

Admissions & Management Responsibilities:

  • Report to senior management of work locations on the activity of the admissions department(s).
  • Conduct admissions interviews with prospective clients, determine preliminary eligibility for the program of the candidate’s choice, provide tours of facility and product knowledge, and recommend acceptance to the Campus President, if appropriate and in a compliant and professional manner at all times.
  • Handle incoming inquiries and provide basic information, routine guidance and assistance to potential students using only approved collateral and materials found on the company intranet site on matters relating to the enrollment and admissions process. Maintain admissions reports as required.
  • This position is a “working” Director of Admissions position; thus, the individual holding this position will also function as an Admissions Representative, and will be responsible for the duties and responsibilities listed above, approximately 35-45% each day.
  • Recruit, interview, and select, supervise and evaluate Admissions Representatives. Closely monitor the performance of the staff.
  • Conduct daily stand up meetings to review activity of the previous day and the goals for the current day
  • Conduct regular individual and group training sessions to assure consistently high levels of performance, production and adherence to standards, practices, techniques and policies as set forth by the Institution. Complete Admissions Representative observations during admissions calls, interviews, and all other admissions processes. DOA is the responsible person to insure that admissions staff is consistently following all rules and regulations of the accrediting agency, state, DOE, and any other regulatory body.
  • DOA is responsible to ensure that each Admissions Representative is receiving documented Product Knowledge training during classroom sessions and /or within other campus departments at least once per month, minimum.
  • Assist the Campus President with the development and implementation of a marketing plan designed to meet the objectives of the campus.
  • Assist the Campus President with the development of a daily, weekly and monthly plan, for admissions representatives and admissions support, in keeping with the objectives and the growth of the campus.
  • Assist in the development of all catalogues, brochures, mail pieces, forms, and promotional materials used in the daily operation. Assist in the development of all print and broadcast promotional advertising.
  • Responsible for the production and control of leads generated through the effective utilization of the department’s budgeted advertising, promotional, and main power sources in order to achieve the campus objectives.
  • Responsible for the compilation of statistical data for the overall advertising/lead generation system. Application of quantitative and qualitative analysis of such toward the further refinement of campaigns/strategies employed.
  • Responsible for maintaining performance statistics of each admissions representative and admissions support as an evaluation tool used to define areas of strength and weakness directed toward ongoing individual training and development.
  • Participate in the public relations activities of the institution. This may require attendance at school/trade show fairs, high schools, and other venues allowed by the regulatory bodies for purposes of recruiting qualified students.
  • Keep abreast of all market opportunities including job placement, demographic shift/changes, product knowledge, government programs and funding, industry training, competitive analysis, new program offerings, new target market populations, and all other areas.
  • Report admissions activity daily via email to senior management.
  • Maintain a Denial log and record in Admissions indicating why any candidate was denied Admission to the school.
  • Immediately report any issues or concerns of non-compliance by the admissions staff or other staff or students within the campus or the organization immediately.
  • Participate in the DOA Meetings and DOA/Admissions Training Sessions .
  • Assist the Campus President with the student graduation ceremony, as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
