Western regions near Poland have repeatedly been hit in airstrikes, while Bulgaria destroyed a device attached to a drone that landed on its territory this month in a development officials there said they believed was “related to the war that Russia launched against Ukraine”.
The latest such incident has seen a drone attack that has caused the closure of the Orlivka-Isaccea border crossing that links the country with Romania, according to Ukrainian military spokeswoman Natalia Humeniuk.
