Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has expressed positivism that Cristiano Ronaldo will break more records at Juventus, adding that the former Real Madrid ace will enjoy his time in Italy.
Ronaldo, who is currently on holidays following his participation at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, will join his new teammates after missing their pre-season tour of the U.S.
At 33 and blessed with ‘the body system of a 20-year-old,’ Ronaldo said he hopes to help The Old Lady win trophies, particularly the UEFA Champions League.
Speaking ahead of Ronaldo’s return to Turin, Allegri assured fans that his new signing would be ready for their regional and global football campaigns early August.
‘He [Ronaldo] will play in his best position – among the front three,’ Allegri said to reporters during a post-match interview after Juventus routed Bayern Munich with two goals.
‘I am sure he will score even more goals than ever,’ the excited Juve coach added.
The Portugal international footballer is expected to feature against Juventus Youth Team in a friendly on 12 August.
