Danny Röhl has left Rangers to take up the vacant managerial role at Red Bull Salzburg.
The decision has been made ‘by mutual agreement’, Rangers say. Rohl replaced Russell Martin in October as the club finished third in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers chairman, Andrew Cavenagh, said: “I’d like to thank Danny for his service and commitment to Rangers.
“He and his staff put in a significant amount of hard work during his time in charge, which we are greatly appreciative of. We wish them the best of luck moving forward.”
The club are now finalising the deal for Derek McInnes to become their new head coach.
As reported, he has agreed a deal to join on a three-year contract. Rangers and Hearts now working to finalise that move.
