Former Real Madrid defender, Roberto Carlos, has denied he is sleeping at the LaLiga club’s training ground after his divorce.
There have been rumours that Carlos had moved into the Valdebebas facility after separating from his wife, Mariana Luccon.
The couple got married in June 2009 and have two daughters together – Manuela and Mariana.
It is believed Luccon still lives in the family’s main home, while her parents are reportedly residing in another of Carlos’ properties.
Media reports confirm the ex-inter defender and Real Madrid icon recently filed for divorce from his second wife.
Ex-Brazil international and Inter left-back Roberto Carlos currently lives at the Real Madrid training centre, given that his two houses in the Spanish capital are occupied by his wife, Mariana Luccon and her parents.
According to the Spanish TV program Fiesta (via Gazzetta dello Sport), the former defender has filed for divorce from his wife, but he has had to look for alternative accommodation in the meantime.
The Brazilian legend has 11 children from seven partners.
“It’s hard to say how many women I’ve had children with,” he said in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport in 2014.
“I have had seven or eight from different mothers; I don’t remember it too well.”
Roberto Carlos had his last two daughters, Manuela and Marina, from his latest wife, Mariana Luccon.
Lucon is reportedly continuing to live at their main residence, while Carlos’ in-laws are currently in his second property, which has led to the former Brazilian full-back temporarily moving into Madrid’s training ground in Valdebebas.
Carlos spent 11 years at Madrid between 1996 and 2007 and won four La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies during this period.
According to the Spanish outlet, the divorce settlement is expected to be a complicated one due to Carlos’ eye-watering fortune, which is valued at around €160m (£133m).
