UK restaurant chain to shut nine sites – with 151 jobs lost

The Real Greek is shutting nine restaurants and axing 151 jobs after falling into administration.

Karali Group, which also operates the Cote Brasserie chain, confirmed it had struck a rescue deal for the business after Toridoll, which owns The Real Greek’s former parent firm Fulham Shore, was placed into administration.

But the deal only saves 19 of the restaurant chain’s 28 UK restaurants.

Although the move means 358 workers will keep their jobs, a further 151 will be lost.

Karali has not confirmed which locations will shut.
