Remembering Black Celebrities and their personal sacrifice

Beyonce: She has worked with many foundations especially, the Survivor Foundation, made huge donations to charity, female empowerment, and disaster relief. In her recent performance at the Super Bowl 50, she paid homage to the music legend, Michael Jackson and praised the Black Panthers. Tupac’s mom, Afeni Shakur is said to be a member of this black women organization.

Muhammad Ali: His contributions in changing the image of African Americans at a time when blacks were playing the second fiddle in sports and politics cannot be forgotten.

He never stopped airing his opinion on racism against black folks and all negative stereotypes in the media. In the picture above, he is greeted by Former U.S. President Bill Clinton in the Oval Office.

Oprah Winfrey: She has donated millions of dollars to charities and organizations around the world. To say the least, she opened an girls-only boarding school for academically gifted girls in South Africa.
