Real Madrid are set to meet with Como this week to finalise the future of Nico Paz.
Paz came through the Real academy, and the Spanish club inserted a buy-back clause in his contract when he joined Como.
The LaLiga side can buy the attacking midfielder, currently at the World Cup with Argentina, for around £8m until June 30 this summer.
Real want to exercise their option with a view to potentially selling Paz, who has emerged as one of Europe’s brightest young prospects.
Real Madrid would like Como to buy Paz for £52m (€60m) in a deal which would give them an £69m (€80m) buy-back option.
However, Como are not happy with that arrangement, as they had not planned to spend more money on Paz.
Initially, it had looked like Paz would spend another season at Como and Real would exercise the buy-back next summer.
Como are hoping to lean on the player’s desire to stay and play under Cesc Fabregas for another season when they meet with Los Blancos.
