The number of people who have been killed by Israeli strikes in Lebanon has surpassed 1,400, according to an update shared by the Lebanese health ministry a short while ago.

The ministry said at least 126 children are among those who have been killed since 2 March, when Israel began strikes in the country on what it says are Hezbollah targets. 

At least 54 health workers and 93 women are also among the dead.
