Nigeria’s Goodluck Jonathan gets ready for another big political challenge

Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, is bracing up for another political adventure in both local and international politics.

The man who was adjudged the “Best Democratic President,” held a closed door meeting with his mentor-turned-nemesis OBJ in Ogun State on 20 January, the same day Donald J. Trump was sworn in as U.S. President.

According to a report from Nigerian Tribute, another notable personality who was present as the meeting, is a former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

On that same hectic day, Jonathan, who served as Nigeria’s president between 5 May 2010 – 29 May 2015, sent an open letter to Mr. Trump as the U.S. observed formalities in Washington, D.C.

“…For over four decades, you have consistently created wealth and opportunities for yourself, your family, your country and its citizens,” the letter from Jonathan reads.

“The city of New York, host to the United Nations Headquarters, thus the world’s most prominent city, bears the hallmark of your signature through your real estate developments…”
