The Nigerian government has raised the alarm over the circulation of fake Cowbell Our Milk across the country’s markets.

The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, disclosed this in a statement published on its official website on Friday.

According to the agency, Promasidor Nigeria Limited, the marketing authorisation holder and manufacturer, confirmed the development.

NAFDAC emphasised that although the counterfeit product bears a close resemblance to the original Our Milk 12g sachet, it is fake.

“The use or consumption of counterfeit Cowbell ‘Our Milk’ Milk presents serious health and safety risks,” NAFDAC stated.
