Neymar to earn $1m per week from his world-record $750m transfer package to PSG.

Neymar Jr. is set for a world-record switch from Barcelona FC to Ligue 1 club side Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

The Brazilian will likely be unveiled at PSG this weekend after Barca accepted defeat in the prolonged transfer saga, media reports confirm.

Neymar Jr. will earn as much as $1m per week.

The former Santos FC player and his entourage flew from Camp Nou to Porto on Wednesday in the company of his father and agent Neymar Sr. to bid farewell to his teammates, AFP reported.

Wagner Ribeiro, the footballer’s adviser who was also present at the send-forth party, later confirmed to reporters that his client’s move to France was a done-deal, saying the $260 million pay-out clause would be cleared in a few hours.

The outrageous amount will twice topple Paul Pogba’s $111 million move to Manchester United last year.

Football analysts believe Neymar traveled to Porto to also meet PSG sporting director Antero Henrique, who currently works in the city, for a pre-transfer medical.

The 25-year-old Brazilian is expected in Paris on Thursday afternoon.

In confirmation of the eye-popping transfer deal, Barcelona said in a statement, “Neymar Jr, accompanied by his father and representative, communicated to FC Barcelona this morning his decision to leave the club.

“The club have informed them that the buyout clause in his contract, that from July 1 is 222 million euros, must be paid in full.”

Gerard Pique, a fellow Barca teammate, recently admitted that he’d understand Neymar’s choice to leave Camp Nou if he wanted a club which would revolve around him.

Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez said his Brazilian teammate will be missed as part of the MSN trio.

“It was a huge pleasure having shared all those years with you, my friend @neymarjr,” Messi captioned an Instagram post with pictures which showed their memorable times together.

“I wish you lots of luck in this new stage in your life. See you soon tkm,” he added.

“Tkm,” an abbreviation for the Spanish words “te quiero mucho” means “I love you loads.”

Neymar replied: “Thanks brother. I will miss you, man.”
