United States authorities identified a man who was found in a Tesla Cybertruck which exploded outside a Trump hotel in Las Vegas as US serviceman Matthew Livelsberger.

Authorities had initially said they were investigating possible military links between Mr Livelsberger and New Orleans attack suspect, former US serviceman Shamsud-Din Jabbar.
However, the FBI said in a news conference earlier yesterday that there were “no definitive links” between the incident and deadly New Orleans truck ramming tragedy which killed 15 and left more than 35 wounded.
More details have now emerged about Mr Livelsberger, who was part of the US Army’s elite Green Berets, a special forces unit and guerrilla warfare experts, according to a statement by the force.
The Green Berets work to counterterrorists abroad using unconventional techniques.
He had served in the army since 2006 and was on approved leave when he died.
Mr Livelsberger spent time at the base formerly known as Fort Bragg, in North Carolina.
