‘Messi Is a Beast,’ says Suarez

Luis Suarez has no better words to describe Lionel Messi’s influence on the pitch after the famous No. 10 displayed a superb performance that ensured victory for Barcelona against Real Betis on Saturday.

The Uruguayan called him a “beast”, adding that Messi was like Barca’s foundation in the 6-2 win.

Messi scored twice and assisted Suarez’s second goal, helping La Blaugranas kickstart the 2016/17 season in style. Both South Americans formed a perfect partnership in the game without Neymar who helped Brazil win its first Olympic soccer gold.

“Individually, I prefer the satisfaction of helping the team. That’s paramount,” he said after the game.

“Barca are always the favourites, we’re one of the candidates [for major trophies] with three or four other teams. This match proved that.

“Leo [Messi] has begun [the season] the way he is, a beast. He’s the best player in the world.

“You can only surrender to him and must be able to enjoy a player like him.”

  1. Anyone who’s an honest football fan can say that for Messi. The Argentine does magic with his feet and makes it look damn easy. Compared to Ronaldo who’s more physical, Messi has better skills but the Portuguese is a better sportsman.
