Maximum Transparency: WH Releases First Batch of UFO Files

President Donald Trump announced Friday that his administration has released what he described as the “first tranche” of government files related to unidentified flying objects and extraterrestrial life, calling the move part of an effort to provide “complete and maximum transparency” to the public.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the Department of War had made public documents and videos concerning UFOs, also known as unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAPs.

“As for my promise to you, the Department of War has released the first tranche of the UFO/UAP files to the Public for their review and study,” Trump wrote.

“In an effort for Complete and Maximum Transparency, it was my Honor to direct my Administration to identify and provide Government files related to Alien and Extraterrestrial Life, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, and Unidentified Flying Objects.”

Trump contrasted the release with prior administrations, which he accused of withholding information from the public.

“Whereas previous Administrations have failed to be transparent on this subject, with these new Documents and Videos, the people can decide for themselves, ‘WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?’” he wrote.

“Have Fun and Enjoy!”

It was not immediately clear how many files were included in the release or whether the materials contained new evidence regarding extraterrestrial activity.

They are being housed on a dedicated government site, https://www.war.gov/UFO/, and additional files will be added to the site “on a rolling basis,” Pentagon Public Affairs said in a press release.

The federal government in recent years has increasingly acknowledged investigations into unexplained aerial encounters, particularly incidents involving military pilots and sensitive defense installations. Congress has held multiple hearings on UAPs, and both Democrat and Republican lawmakers have pressed intelligence and defense agencies for greater disclosure.

The Pentagon previously established offices tasked with reviewing reports of anomalous aerial incidents, though officials have repeatedly said there is no confirmed evidence linking the sightings to extraterrestrial life.

Trump has periodically commented on UFO-related issues in the past, at times expressing skepticism while also fueling public curiosity about government-held information.
