Manny Pacquiao gives his take on Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor’s long-awaited fight against Floyd Mayweather will go live on 26 August, and different opinions from experienced sports analysts, including professional boxer Manny Pacquiao, say the world may be in for a shocker.

McGregor has been busy boosting his market value in recent weeks; even sending a couple of daunting social media messages to his opponent ahead of the mega fight.

The 28-year-old Irishman who is UFC’s reigning lightweight champion will square up against Maymoney, a 40-year-old American professional boxer, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

McGregor has no boxing experience to his name despite being a martial arts icon. Yet, his proposed $1 billion-dollar fight has been the most discussed fight in history. It’ll also be an unpreceded money-spinner for both fighters and their sponsors.

UFC owners [WME-IMG] have reportedly asked for a whooping $10 million as price tag on the rights to sponsor the August 26 boxing event.

A report from Darren Rovell of ESPN.com confirmed that “the $10 million would nearly double boxing’s largest single-fight sponsorship, the $5.6 million that Tecate paid for Mayweather-Pacquiao in May 2015.”

“The sponsoring company would get its logo at the center of the ring at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, its branding on ring girls, on two of the ropes and in the two nonfighter corners of the ring,” Rovell added.

“The deal also includes sponsorship of the first minute of every round on the broadcast and $500,000 in tickets.”

The odds are clearly against McGregor’s chances of coming out victorious in the match, but the kick-boxer says he’s coming with a shocker.

“Ghosty gonna getcha,” he wrote in his latest Instagram.

His earlier post reads, Late night work on the @conormcgregorfast conditioning program, blasting @beatsbydre

“I am about to SHOCK THE WORLD! Again.”

Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao, who lost to Mayweather in 2015 says McGregor is living in a dreamworld, if he thinks the fight will end in his favor.

“McGregor has no chance in this fight. In fact, it could be very boring,” ‘Pacman’ said in response to a question about the expected result.

“There is no way he will be able to land a meaningful punch on Floyd. How could he? He has no professional experience in boxing. Floyd is a gifted fighter with great defense. His footwork and reflexes are excellent.”

  1. Manny should go get some rest from boxing after his fatal loss to Mayweather.

  2. Hello, I’m a Chinese girl. Happy to read much from your website.

  3. The truth hurts. Pacman has tasted the bitter side of the truth and I agree with him, Conor will regret the fight

  4. I can’t wait for that August 28 when the world will get to see these two champions clash. I bet for May.

  5. I support the American boxer. He looks calmer than the Irish braggart.

  6. Cauliflower

    Let the game begin!

  7. Time to lose for May. He has held the UNDEFEATED title for so long. Gregor will spring up surprises on that day.

  8. Go for Gregor. He will surprise every Mayweather fan.

  9. I’m neutral on both boxers. No win or loss will move me like football games.

  10. This is a time for boxing. Better sit up straight and watch. Don’t be passive.

  11. Up Maymoney. I root for you, my guy.

  12. It can go either way but I hope Floyd grabs him by the pussy.

  13. Montana Firepit

Mayweather is a born winner. Gregor can’t mess with his history. Not now.

  14. Master Mi

We shall see about it this buzz on the 28th. God keep us all alive.

  15. Dortmund Fan

    Someone is gonna cry blood.

  16. One of the sports I hate most. Boxing promotes cruelty and should be banned as sports because games should be about love and fairness. This is outright brutality.

  17. Agreed. Say No to Boxing. It’s evil.

  18. It’ll truly be the most controversial fight ever. If Gregor wins, good, if May outclasses him, no news.

  19. Maywaether Sr. has threatened to sue for changes in rules. Hahaha

  20. It’s almost time for the two champions

  21. O’m patiently waiting for 28

  22. It could go either way.

  23. I agree with those who say it’ll be the fight of the century. Mayweather will lose.

  24. Count down continues till Saturday. Both boxers must be sweating out from pressure. Lol

  25. Go Gregor!

  26. McGregor is a braggart. I won’t be surprised if he loses the boxing match. Pride is written all over him.

  27. Ain’t nothing like the real thing, baby. Conor knew he was in just for the 100k at stage to his name. Thank goodness he didn’t take a KO earlier. Mayweather made me proud.

  28. Up Mayweather. He’s the undefeated champion.

  29. I feared for Mayweather before the fight but he took the right risks. Congrats to him.

  30. China Direct

    Great job!

  31. I knew that Irishman was going to lose.

  32. It was a fight between an underdog and a champ. Tilted and unfair. But I’m happy May won in the end. He deserved the victory and probably would have lost to Gregor in MMA. Hope they try a rematch in UFC.

  33. Manny was wise with his advice having suffered from the same monster in not so long past. Gregor learnt his lessons very late.

Find the best available clock parts that are now in stock and currently on sale you can get now!

  35. I was disappointed that Gregor, my super-fan, lost in the fight. I’d have been excited, not for the money or fame, but for my hatred on May for being an incorrigible womanizer.

  36. Manny was actually right.

  37. I don’t think Mayweather will get into the ring again no matter how much is staked. There’s a chance he will lose out next time.

  38. Experience is truly the best teacher. Love Manny.

  39. I love Manny and would have loved him more if only he was able to defeat Mayweather. My heart still bleeds for that fight. But it’s sports. Hope he continues to make us fans proud in his other endeavours.

  40. Words from elders are always right and proven to be true. Gregor thought he could overrun a giant like May.

  41. Now Mayweather can have some good rest with his women.

  42. One of the most hated sports in the world. I hate boxing. Will never marry a boxer.

  43. It’s only a sport, come on!

  44. Agreed. Boxers are inhuman in the ring but whether they’re any different in real life is an argument for another day. Some boxers can be romantic, actually. Oe why do you see girls flocking around them? It’s not just for the money. They’re good in bed, strong and energetic. You know what I mean. Lol

  45. The discussion on boxers being harsh or romantic cannot be generalized. Individuals are different no matter their professions. But I admit sometimes it can change people to some extent. That rage, if not controlled, can be a homebreaker.

  46. Both Manny and May are good examples of why boxers should not be judged by their profession. The first is a Christian, cool-headed and well-behaved with women, but the second loves strippers and splashes money of pretty girls, alcohol and fast cars. It’s about choices.

  47. Hope this sport gets banned. It’s insane. I’m most astonished because it spins lots of money even more than football despite the bloody nature. I pray a day comes when it’d be declared illegal around the world.

  48. I don’t think it’ll ever happen. Most investors and gamblers are too involved to let that happen.

  49. Someone sent me a link to your web. I really appreciate that now. Nice being here.

  50. Please send me direct contact details. We need to talk.
