Man Utd and Arsenal go head-to-head for Tonali signature

Manchester United and Arsenal could be two of the clubs battling it out to sign Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali this summer, according to The Sun.

Both clubs are credited with interest in Tonali, who is widely expected to be among the outgoing Newcastle departures.

Fabrizio Romano reports the Italian will not look to return to Serie A but is instead focused on remaining in England next season.

Newcastle currently sit in 14th place in the Premier League table and are not mathematically safe from relegation with four games to play.

The former AC Milan man cost The Magpies £55m when they signed him in 2023 and is expected to go for around double that fee.
