Mike Lynch’s teenage daughter Hannah is among those missing from the yacht, according to Italian media.
Mr Lynch remains unaccounted for, but his wife was rescued.
The six missing people are made up of four Britons and two Americans, according to La Repubblica.
The one body recovered is believed to be the boat’s cook, said Italian fire and rescue spokesperson Luca Cari.
Sicily’s civil protection agency said others on board – believed to be crew – were from Antigua, France, Germany, Ireland, Myanmar, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Spain.
Yacht ‘in the wrong place at wrong time’
Salvo Cocina from Sicily’s civil protection agency has said the Bayesian was “in the wrong place at the wrong time”.
Another superyacht nearby wasn’t as badly damaged and helped rescue some of the 15 survivors.
A storm hit the area overnight and a waterspout has been blamed for the sinking.
Sky News meteorologist Chris England says tornados and strong waterspouts are essentially the same thing, with one forming over land and the other over water.
The US National Ocean Service says they are associated with severe thunderstorms, and are often accompanied by high winds and seas, large hail and lightning.
