Luis Nani says Valencia was his best option after Thursday’s official unveiling at the club. A total of 12,000 Valencia fans reportedly paid the Portugal international and Euro 2016 winner a warm welcome.
Mestalla showered the former Fenerbahce winger with praise and support, as he declared his readiness to help them actualize big dreams.

In his words: “I chose Valencia because they represented the best option for me.
“They’re a great club with great global potential. There are conditions here for me to be happy. The Spanish League is a great championship,” he added.
“Adaptation takes time, but it won’t be very difficult. My style is Latino, technical football, so I’ll adapt quickly. Football is full of surprises, so let’s get to work.
“It’s important to feel this love [of the fans]. I hope to give them a lot of joy and contribute to many of their dreams.”

Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha, was born on 17 November 1986. He’s commonly known as Nani or Luís Nani.
The Portuguese professional footballer is currently owned by Spanish club Valencia and the Portugal national team where he plays as a winger, and on few occassions, as a forward. Although predominantly right-footed, he has been utilised on the left wing more often.
Nani was born in Cape Verde and emigrated to Europe with his family at an early age. He was raised in Portugal and began his football career playing for local side Real Massamá.
At the age of nine, he began training with Sporting Clube de Portugal and S.L. Benfica on alternate days, eventually joining Sporting’s youth squad after they offered him pre-season training.
In 2005, he made his professional debut with the club and won the Portuguese Cup during his second season with them. Nani was named the SJPF Young Player of the Month for May 2007 and his performances with Sporting culminated into a move to English club Manchester United in July 2007 for a fee of €25 million.
