Trent Alexander-Arnold has no intention of leaving Real Madrid at present, even though Liverpool and Arsenal have both expressed interest in signing the right-back.

The England defender has been linked with several Premier League sides, including his old club Liverpool and reigning English champions Arsenal, while Manchester City and Chelsea have also been approached about a possible deal.

Nevertheless, sources have told Meziesblog that Alexander-Arnold is committed to his career in Madrid and is not weighing up a January departure from the Spanish club.

The 27-year-old moved to Madrid from Liverpool in the summer of 2025 and featured in more than 20 starts during his debut season as he adapted to life in Spain.

His performances in Spain were not enough to secure a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup squad, though the former Liverpool man has since been recalled to the Three Lions set-up.

Alexander-Arnold had hoped for significant playing time under Madrid boss Jose Mourinho, but he once again appears destined for a squad role after the club brought in Dutch right-back Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan as one of their marquee defensive signings over the summer.

That development has fuelled speculation about Alexander-Arnold’s future, with intermediaries reportedly sounding out potential options for the defender.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea contacted over Alexander-Arnold

Meziesblog sources have confirmed that those discussions have included contact with Liverpool, where Alexander-Arnold spent his entire senior career before moving to Madrid, while Premier League champions Arsenal have also been approached.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal are seeking right-backs, making Alexander-Arnold an obvious candidate to explore given his top-level experience.

We can also confirm that Man City and Chelsea have been contacted as part of those discussions.

Sources have told us that the English clubs do have potential interest in Alexander-Arnold and have remained attentive to his situation since he left the UK.

However, the current position is that a January move is not on the radar of either Alexander-Arnold or Madrid.

Sources have stressed that there is no active push from the player to leave Estadio Bernabeu and no expectation at this stage that he will be departing during the January window.

Instead, the situation is expected to be assessed at the end of the season, if required.

For now, Alexander-Arnold remains focused on his role at Madrid, despite Premier League clubs continuing to monitor his situation and intermediaries exploring what options could potentially be available.
