Kremlin says removing ‘mutual irritants’ will help restore US-Russia relations

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has been providing updates on the Ukraine peace talks in his routine media briefing in Moscow.

He says there are concerns about changes in the US national strategy under future administrations, but that the current approach appeals to Russia, the Russian state-owned TASS news agency reported.

The parties involved in the peace talks are more aware that work must be done in silence, Peskov says.

The spokesperson says that by “eliminating mutual irritants” between Russia and the US, there will be a greater chance of restoring bilateral relations between the two countries, the state-owned RIA news agency reported.

The Kremlin also expects to receive information on the results of talks between the US and Ukraine, Peskov adds.
