Daichi Kamada is set to leave Crystal Palace at the end of the season.
The Japan international’s contract expires in the summer and there is full expectation he will depart when that happens.
There are currently no active conversations about extending his stay at Selhurst Park.
The midfielder signed as a free agent in 2024. It was a move driven by Palace head coach Oliver Glasner, after the pair won the Europa League together with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2022.
The 29-year-old Kamada is set to join the Austrian boss in seeking a fresh challenge in the summer.
Kamada made a slow start to life at Palace but played a key role in helping the club win the FA Cup last summer.
He made his comeback from a hamstring injury in the club’s victory over Brighton on Sunday.
Palace attempted to revamp their midfield in the winter window, with a move for Everton’s Dwight McNeil collapsing on Deadline Day.
The club also enquired about Japanese international Kodai Sano at NEC Nijmegen. However, the Dutch club were reluctant to sell the midfielder given their remarkable campaign so far in the Eredivisie this season.
