Job Description
Cabarrus College of Health Sciences is seeking a qualified Clinical Faculty member to support its nursing education programmes.
The successful candidate will teach and supervise nursing students in clinical environments, facilitate classroom and practical learning, advise students, contribute to curriculum development and support student academic progression.
Other responsibilities include participating in professional development, institutional committees, curriculum improvement and community service activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Nursing.
- A current or eligible North Carolina state Registered Nurse (RN) licence.
- At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Demonstrated competence in teaching and related academic activities.
- Preparation in teaching and learning principles through at least one of the following:
- 45 contact hours of continuing education courses.
- A certificate programme in nursing education.
- Nine semester hours of education coursework.
- National certification in nursing education.
Additional advantage: Previous experience teaching in a pre-licensure nursing programme is preferred.
