Beyonce and Jay-Z were reportedly collaborating on releasing a joint album prior to Queen Bey’s ‘Lemonade’ – “a visual album which chronicles a scorned woman’s journey through 11 stages of grief and forgiveness after her man cheats.”
It isn’t clear why the singer had to dish out her solo album first but the secret may come to light in Jigga’s expected album release which could prove his innocence.
Jay-Z’s last album Magna Carta… Holy Grail was released in July, 2013.
According to a report, the famous couple have their careers pitched with different companies – Columbia Records and Roc Nation – and issues between the respective labels could be a reason why the could-be chart topping collabo was put on hold. “So Beyoncé decided to release her solo album first and next Jay will,” the source explains.
Fans will have to pray the disagreement is settled soonest so the world can listen to what could be the best ever collaboration from music couples.
A source close the Beyonce and Jay-Z told US Weekly, “Jay is working on an album telling his side of things.”
According to Billboard, the collaboration may still see the light of day.
A Sony source tells the magazine that the record label is “open to” partnering with the duo on such a project.
It is better late than never, for the scandal-troubled couple who toured together back in 2014 for their huge On the Run Tour. Rumors had it that they would be breaking their vows after the tour but Bey and Jay waxed even stronger, to the shame of haters.
It’s sad that Bey hasn’t forgotten the lies and cheats but her anger isn’t on husband, Jay Z. ‘Becky’ or rather, ‘Beckys’ should beware, the queen sits on the throne.
Some people are arguing that Lemonade isn’t autobiographical but Bey’s dad Mathew Knowles told Us magazine that “people want to make it about her”.
Another source says, “the album says it all.”
“It explains how she and Jay got through their problems.
“The good outweighed the bad, so she gave him a second chance.”
