Ivan Yates Quitting Media Jobs.

Sad news for Ivan Yates fans and everyone who benefited from his selfless services in the media.

The Newstalk presenter has confirmed he is set to quit the job on July 1 for personal reasons, as reported by Breaking News. He was formerly the Agriculture Minister.

Yates is stepping down from his roles as a presenter on TV3. He is also leaving his position as a columnist with the Irish Independent.

There are no speculations yet as to what could have inspired his sudden change of heart but he “has made a decision to withdraw from all of his media commitments due to personal reasons”.

Ivan Yates (born 23 October 1959) is an Irish businessman, broadcaster and former politician.

He was elected as a Fine Gael Teachta Dála (TD) representing the Wexford constituency at the 1981 general election and at each election until his retirement from politics in 2002.

He has also served as Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry from 1994 to 1997.

Yates is a regular conference speaker, motivational speaker and MC at business events in Ireland.

Yates co-presented the Newstalk breakfast show from 2009, firstly with Claire Byrne and subsequently with Chris Donoghue.
