Israeli troops have fatally shot two Palestinians and wounded 11 others, according to the Associated Press.
The Palestinians were heading toward the main combat zone in northern Gaza, despite warnings by the Israeli army to stay put during the temporary ceasefire, it reported.
An AP journalist saw the two bodies and the wounded as they arrived at a hospital in the town of Deir al Balah in the southern half of Gaza.
The injured had been shot in the legs.
It came hours after the Israeli military warned displaced Palestinians who sought refuge in the south not to return to their homes in the northern half of the territory during the four-day truce.
Since the temporary ceasefire began this morning, hundreds of Palestinians have been seen trying to head to northern Gaza.
