Israel’s foreign minister has doubled down on Israeli claims that Hamas is deliberately delaying the release of the remaining dead hostages under the ceasefire agreement.
“We know as a matter of fact they can easily give a significant number of dead hostages back according to the agreement,” Gideon Sa’ar said on the sidelines of a summit on the Mediterranean region in Italy.
“So what they’re doing right now is a fundamental breach of the agreement,” Sa’ar added.
Hamas has claimed yesterday it had returned all the hostages that it could reach and will need special equipment to hand over the remaining bodies.
The White House appeared to reiterate that position during a press briefing today, as we reported in our post at 7.18pm.
