Residents near the Nasser Hospital and al Amal Hospital in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis region have been told to evacuate the area.
The IDF’s spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote in a post on X that residents “must move immediately to the humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi via Al-Bahr Street”.
Earlier this morning, Israeli ground forces said they had “encircled” Khan Younis and carried out an “extensive operation”.
Troops fought in “close-quarters combat” against Hamas, with “dozens” of militants killed in the last 24 hours, the IDF said.
