Israeli army kill 8 in West Bank, health officials say

In an update to our earlier post, Palestinian health officials say Israeli forces have killed at least eight people in the West Bank in the past day.

The Palestinian health ministry said five people were killed in Jenin.

Three others have been killed in separate areas of the West Bank since Saturday morning, it added.

One of those killed, in al-Bireh in the central West Bank, was a teenager, the ministry said.

The Israeli military said forces entered the Jenin refugee camp to arrest a Palestinian suspected of killing an Israeli father and son at a West Bank car wash earlier in the year.

In a statement on Sunday, the IDF did not mention clashes or the deaths of Palestinians.

It did confirm its forces were operating in the area, however.
