Israel is conducting a number of operations across the enclave – north and south, with Hamas’s armed wing also providing updates on its attempts to quell Israeli advances.

The north
Israel says it is targeting specific areas in the north it says are historic Hamas strongholds.
This includes the Jabalia refugee camp, which has seen the heavy fighting of the past few days continue today.
Hamas said it had killed 15 Israeli soldiers in one single attack using a “barrel bomb” – a claim which Israel has not responded to.
Additionally, a number of videos have emerged over the weekend purporting to be from the area, which appear to show a number of men, stripped to their underwear, being rounded up by Israeli troops before being put onto trucks.

Israel claims they are Hamas fighters surrendering.
Israeli infantry is fighting in the streets of Shajaiya – which is to the east of Gaza City.
It reported a number of engagements with Hamas fighters, claiming to have killed several.
An update from Israeli military command said it was also engaging in concentrated fighting in the northern city of Beit Hanoun.
The south
Khan Younis has seen a major increase in military activity over the weekend – with eyewitness reporting that Israeli tanks have reached the very centre of the city.
Pictures show massive plumes of smoke rising above the city, as Israeli forces continue their search for Hamas’s Gaza leader – Yayha Sinwar – who is rumoured to be hiding in the city.
Hamas released unverified video footage appearing to show bitter fighting in Khan Younis – with fighters seemingly targeting Israeli tanks and personnel with rocket launchers and small arms.
Lebanon
A spokesman for the Hezbollah group said fighting was increasing in severity between it and Israel – after more strikes, firefights and attacks across the Lebanese border.
Hassan Fadlallah said Israeli actions represented a “new escalation” to which the group was responding with new types of attacks, be it “in the nature of the weapons [used] or the targeted sites”.
Israel reported tanks and helicopters had earlier attacked Hezbollah infrastructure within Lebanese territory – as fighting across the border continues to intensify and become more frequent.
