Indonesia’s president-elect visits Malaysia

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met with Indonesia’s President-elect Prabowo Subianto on Thursday on closer bilateral ties, Malaysia’s national news agency Bernama reported.

While congratulating Prabowo on his election, Anwar expressed hope that friendship between the two neighboring countries would remain strong and strengthen further for mutual benefit.

Prabowo arrived in Malaysia on Wednesday for a special visit. He has also met with Malaysian Defense Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin during his stay here, according to the Bernama report.
