I’ll bounce back better than ever – Grealish confirms foot surgery

Jack Grealish has confirmed he has had surgery on a foot stress fracture, which has ruled him out for the season.

The 30-year-old, who is on a season-long loan at Everton from Manchester City, suffered the injury last month during a 1-0 win over his former club Aston Villa.

He had featured 22 times for Everton this season, with two goals and six assists.

Writing on Instagram, Grealish said: “Didn’t want the season to end like this, but that’s football, gutted.

“Surgery done and now all focus on getting back fit. I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before.”
