‘Targeted raid’ carried out at Hamas commander’s compound, says Israel
A “targeted raid” has been carried out at a compound used by a Hamas commander, the Israel Defence Forces has said.
In its daily update, the Israeli military said the location had been used by the commander of the militant group’s Khan Younis Brigade in southern Gaza.
AK-47 rifles, ammunition, military equipment and “technological assets” were found inside, the IDF said.

Hamas fighters were seen in the area and “killed at close range”, it added.
In a separate incident, the IDF said a “knife wielding” fighter threw two grenades and troops and was killed.
“Over the past day, IDF fighter jets struck a number of Hamas terror targets, including terror infrastructure and launch posts,” it continued.
“Naval forces also struck Hamas targets and continued to assist ground troops with fire cover and observation activities.”
