Mauro Icardi has revealed he is staying at Paris Saint-Germain next season and issued a passionate defence of his career after Italian media claimed it is under threat.

Icardi took to his Instagram story to address an article in Gazzetta dello Sport discussing his future at the French champions.

“My career’s under threat?,” he wrote. “I still have two years left on my PSG contract. It doesn’t seem to be unlike what has been written.

“Don’t worry, I’m still 29 and people know who I am after scoring almost 200 goals. And now I’ve decided to stay here and make myself available.”

Bissouma hints at an Arsenal move

Now entering the last 12 months in his contract, Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma has dropped hints on social media that he may want to move to Arsenal.

According to the Daily Star, he reportedly reposted a fan’s Instagram story – which was a brief highlight of his performance in his African Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo.

The clip was then followed by this caption: “For me, I think that he [Bissouma] and [Youri] Tielemans should be our priority at midfield, we must get Yves Bissouma at all costs @arsenal.”
