Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe doesn’t know whether Anthony Gordon has played his final game for the club, amid ongoing interest in the England winger.
Gordon’s future has been the subject of much speculation for weeks amid interest from Bayern Munich and beyond, with Howe previously eluding to a potential transfer this summer.
The 25-year-old was an unused substitute in all of Newcastle’s final four games of the season, and was overlooked in favour of 18-year-old Sean Neave late on in their 2-0 defeat at Fulham in their final game.
When asked whether Gordon’s Newcastle career was over, he told Sky Sports: “I don’t know. You can never predict what’s going to happen.
“He goes to the World Cup now, so we wish him well.”
